About Us

    Jeff McCoy, owner and operator of RM Technical Services, has been working with computers and computer technology for over 25 years. From the beginning computers with TOS (Tape Operating System) through the Personal Computer evolvement through the 1980's and 90's, and into the digital revolution of the twenty first century, Jeff has stayed current with all of the latest technology.

     Jeff's computer and business career started at IBM with the development, programming and support of computer automated manufacturing systems in East Fishkill. From there he went into global IT support of large companies that outsourced their IT to IBM in Poughkeepsie. Dealing with large contracts like Campbell Soup, Kodak, Volvo and ICI, Jeff was part of the teams that  first off: engaged the customers, secondly: rolled out the changes to the customer (hardware, network, servers etc), third: help create 24x7 help desk support and lastly: assisted in bringing the customers to a "steady state" of business before moving on to another customer.

    Jeff took some time off from the "big" computer business and co-partnered ownership in Mr. Todd's Gymnastics. Jeff was the business manager there for six years. After leaving in 2005, he returned to the computer field and created RM Technical Services to use his experience to help with SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) users.

     His field has expanded to home users, town governments, refurbishing old systems and web design. His mission is to bring back the old customer service values of friendly and courteous service while maintaining low, competitive prices.
