How does it work?

We operate an off-site storage facility for the user's data. At the facility, an account is maintained for each user. Each account is protected by a password known only to the user!

The electronic vault system is set up so that at a preset time, usually late at night the clients computer automatically wakes up and prepares its data for backup, it determines which files have been modified since the last backup, compresses them, encrypts them for security. When the data is ready the computer uses its modem or Internet connection to contact our Servers and transmit the data.

• Our special software installed on your system will perform this service on schedule automatically.

• Your automatic backups will be scheduled at times when your business is closed and your computers are not in use.

FIRST: Your computer

• Compress the data for backup into a securely encrypted format ready for transmission.

Note: Data can usually be compressed to between ½ and ¼ it’s original size.

• It then uses your modem or live internet connection to call the backup server.

 SECOND: The Transmission

• After properly identifying one another, your computer transmits it’s backup to your account on our server

• When finished, the server verifies the data and informs your computer that the files are secure and your computer disconnects from the server.

• Your data is safely backed up and stored offsite.

THIRD: When disaster strikes

• Your computers might be destroyed but your really valuable asset – the data vital to your business – is safe and secure.
